TalkFlow: Play Together ("TalkFlow", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is developed and operated by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. By using TalkFlow, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use TalkFlow, the following information may be collected automatically:

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and build number.
Device Identifiers: A hashed (SHA-256) version of your device's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV). We do not collect or use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
Anonymous Authentication ID: A randomly generated anonymous identifier created through Firebase Authentication. This is not linked to any personal account or identity.
Usage Analytics: App interactions, feature usage, game sessions, screen views, and event data to help us improve the App experience.
Crash Data: Crash logs, stack traces, and diagnostic data to identify and resolve technical issues.
Session Recordings: Anonymized session interaction data (taps, scrolls, navigation patterns) through Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with the App.

1.2 Information You Provide

Custom Game Content: Questions, words, locations, and other content you create within the App. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
AI Generation Prompts: When you use AI-powered content generation features, the text prompts you enter are sent to our servers to generate game content. These prompts are processed in real time and are not stored after processing.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable contact information
Photographs, camera, or microphone data
Location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular)
Contacts, calendar, or other personal device data
Accounts, passwords, or login credentials

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

App Functionality: To deliver core features including AI-powered content generation and in-app purchases.
Analytics & Improvement: To understand how the App is used, identify popular features, and improve overall user experience.
Crash Reporting: To diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix bugs and crashes.
Advertising: To display personalized and non-personalized advertisements within the App (for free-tier users).
Subscription Management: To verify and manage premium subscription status.

4. Advertising

TalkFlow displays advertisements through Google AdMob to free-tier users. These ads may be personalized based on data collected by Google in accordance with their privacy policy, or non-personalized depending on your consent preferences.

TalkFlow integrates with Apple's SKAdNetwork framework, which allows ad networks to measure campaign performance without revealing individual user data.

Premium subscribers do not see advertisements. Upgrading to TalkFlow Premium removes all ads from the App.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

TalkFlow offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("TalkFlow Premium") managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We offer the following plans:

Monthly — billed every month
Yearly — billed every year

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store Settings.

We do not collect or have access to your payment information. All payment processing is handled by Apple.

6. Data Storage & Security

6.1 Local Storage

The majority of your data — including app preferences, custom game content, and game progress — is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to external servers.

6.2 Data Transmission

When data is transmitted (for AI content generation, analytics, or advertising), all communication occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections.

6.3 Data Retention

AI content generation prompts are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after processing. Analytics and crash data are retained by the respective third-party providers in accordance with their own retention policies. You can delete locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App.

7. Your Privacy Controls

TalkFlow provides the following privacy controls within the App:

Analytics Level: You can choose between "Essential" (minimal data), "Usage" (app version only), and "Full" (version and device info) analytics collection in the App settings.
Ad Personalization: You can control ad personalization through your device's iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Data Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. To request deletion of data held by third-party analytics providers, contact us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

TalkFlow is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App's advertising configuration does not enable child-directed treatment (COPPA) or under-age-of-consent (GDPR) targeting. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. International Data Transfers

Information collected through the App may be processed by third-party services (Google, Microsoft, Apple) in countries other than your country of residence. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your data, including:

The right to access the personal data we hold about you
The right to request correction of inaccurate data
The right to request deletion of your data
The right to restrict or object to data processing
The right to data portability
